Why Clinical Research?

New treatments and medical devices are tested to ensure they're safe and effective. Every major medical breakthrough begins this way. Unlike routine care, clinical research studies new therapies under strict safety standards. Each study is monitored by a team of expert scientists and top medical specialists around the world.

Clinical research is essential for modern medicine—every treatment available today began with careful study through clinical trials.

All Research Starts with Volunteers.

Clinical research is carefully designed to keep participants safe. Studies are monitored by medical experts, regulatory boards, and patients are closely observed by specialist throughout participation. It is always voluntary and consensual with the ability to withdraw at any time.

Why Participate in Clinical Research?
  • Early access to promising treatments
  • Free study-related care and possible compensation
  • Personalized care from experienced medical professionals
  • Help advance medicine for others

Fatty Liver Disease

Fatty liver disease is the accumulation of excess fat in liver cells not caused by alcohol consumption. While the liver normally contains a small amount of fat, the condition is diagnosed when fat accounts for more than 5–10% of the liver’s weight (steatosis).

This condition can progress to liver inflammation and scarring—known as NASH (Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis) or MASH (Metabolic Associated Steatohepatitis). Individuals are at higher risk if they have one or more of the following:

Type 2 Diabetes
Hypertension
High Cholesterol
Hispanic Ethnicity
Post-menopausal Female
Obesity/BMI Over 30

Innovative Clinical Research (ICR) is currently conducting several clinical studies aimed at reducing fat and scarring in the liver. If you have one or more of the above risk factors, you may qualify to participate. Contact us today to learn more about these opportunities.

Cirrhosis

Cirrhosis is a serious condition in which scar tissue replaces healthy liver tissue, impairing the liver’s ability to function. It often develops as a result of long-term liver damage from various causes, including fatty liver disease. While cirrhosis can be life-threatening, early detection and management of the symptoms can be helpful for patients.

Innovative Clinical Research (ICR) is currently conducting multiple clinical studies for patients with cirrhosis. Individuals with early, compensated (non-decompensated) cirrhosis may experience significant benefits, including slowed disease progression and potential liver function improvement. If you have been diagnosed with cirrhosis—or your physician suspects you may have it—contact us today to learn if you qualify for one of our studies.

Weight Loss and Obesity

Obesity is a medical condition characterized by excessive body fat accumulation that can negatively affect overall health. It is typically defined as having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or higher. If you know your height and weight, you can calculate your BMI [here]. A BMI over 30 is considered obese, and addressing it through weight management is strongly recommended.

Obesity significantly increases the risk of multiple health conditions, including:

Type 2 Diabetes
Heart Disease
Fatty Liver Disease
Sleep Apnea
Certain Cancers

Effective treatment options include GLP-based medications as well as diet and lifestyle modifications.

Innovative Clinical Research (ICR) is currently conducting weight loss studies, including research on how weight reduction impacts liver fat. If you have a BMI over 30 and are interested in losing weight while improving your liver health, contact us today to learn more about participation opportunities. We can help.

Be a part of research that values you.
